Barb Shea
Ward 1 Councillor
Rideau Lakes

Four years ago, I choose Delta as my home, and as part of my retirement plan. My connection to the Rideau Lakes Township community began years earlier through family, and I quickly came to appreciate the area, its people and its strong sense of community.

I bring more than 40 years of healthcare experience in hospitals, community and provincial public health,  including leadership roles in Infection Prevention and Control. In 2014, I volunteered with the World Health Organization response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa, working alongside local teams in challenging circumstances.

My career, education and volunteer work have reinforced the importance of listening, collaboration, practical solutions and following through.

I am running for Ward 1 because I want to give my time and experience back to the community I now call home.

I believe residents deserve a Council that conducts its business professionally and respectfully, welcomes different perspectives, and works together to deliver results for our community.
